Why solos?
Built by an optics team, not a phone accessory brand
Solos grew out of years of optical and micro-display engineering developed through Kopin Corporation. Our MIT-trained engineering team applied that foundation to wearable eyewear and created the AirGo™ platform — acoustics, antenna, hinge mechanics and lens geometry designed together instead of bolted onto a stock frame.

Can Solos smartglasses take my prescription?
Yes. Every AirGo™ front can be glazed with single vision, progressive, blue-light filtering or photochromic lenses by a qualified optician. Sport and sun models also accept clip-on prescription carriers, which keeps one frame usable for both clear and tinted wear. Start with the lens guide to check frame and power ranges.
Do the glasses work with both iPhone and Android?
The Solos AirGo™ app supports current iOS and Android releases and pairs over Bluetooth. Core functions — calls, media, touch controls and firmware updates — behave the same on both platforms; AI features such as SolosChat™ and SolosTranslate™ run through the app.
How long does a charge last in real use?
Expect up to 10 hours of continuous music streaming or around 7 hours of voice calls per charge on audio models, with standby measured in days. Camera and display use on vision models draws more power, so plan a mid-day top-up if you are recording frequently.
Are they suitable for running, cycling and outdoor work?
Yes. Models rated IP54 resist splashes and sweat, and the open-ear design keeps traffic and teammates audible — an important safety difference from in-ear buds. The sport range adds grip temples and wrap geometry for high-motion use.
Do you support distributors, optical chains and developers?
We work with retail partners on display units, fitting training and spare-part supply, and with software teams through the Solos SDK developer programme for custom voice and data workflows. Retail and developer pages set out the current requirements.
What about privacy when a camera is on the frame?
Camera-equipped models use a visible capture indicator, and the frame front can be swapped for a camera-free front using SmartHinge™ when you enter restricted environments such as gyms, clinics or secure facilities.
